The halls were empty at the time as students were in class. Kitsuno was observing the place well as they wandered the halls in search for the professor Liam was here to deliver the paperwork to. "I wonder what kind of studies this place has to offer? It feels cozy in here." Shade held her hands behind her head as they enter a dome like section of the building with a stairway heading to the next floor. "I have no idea sis, but what makes you think we would be cut out for this place? Seems a little too much on the nose for me."

Liam stops outside of a classroom close by the stairway as he spotted the professor he was looking for. "Ah, Professor Gordan!" The young mage walked into the classroom and approached a well dressed canine with a sharp reddish brown fur color in a black suit with silver hair reaching down to his shoulders. Gordan looks up from his folders and smiles, "Ah, good to see you again Liam. Did the mage's guild find what I was looking for?"

The ferret nods before opening his bag and pulls out all the notes from earlier and hands them over. "Sorry if they are scattered around. I accidentally let go of my bag and they flew out." Gordan lets out a chuckle as he looks over some of the papers. "All is fine lad, I still got time before class arrives for their thesis on mana regeneration and fatigue." Once he had all the papers, he feathered them away in a folder before reaching back into one of the drawers in the desk to pull out a small bag. "Here you go Liam. Thirty-five shillings and a couple shards of amethyst."

As he hands over the bag to the mage, his gaze looks across out to the hallway to see the twins standing there. "Making some new friends there lad? Didn't think you were a ladies man." Liam looked confused for a bit before remembering that Shade and Kitsuno were still out in the hallway. "Oh, those two are still new to Druisalle and have recently became mercenaries here in Sarydia."

Gordan looks closer at the twins as they stared back at him. He then waves his hand to gesture them into the room. "No need to be shy you two, come in." The twins walk into the room and stand next to Liam on both sides. Shade looks around the classroom as it was furbished with a nice polished redwood design. "Nice room you got here. Feels very sleek."

The professor smiles, "Why thank you lass, I had it refurbished this way. Easier on my eyes compared to the brighter colored rooms." His eyes turn to Kitsuno, who was showing gleefulness in her eyes as she was looking over some of the books sitting out. "I take it someone wants to be a scholar one day?"

Kitsuno immediately snaps out of her daydream. "Huh? Oh!" She rubs the back of her head in response of her mind wandering off, "Sorry. I've never been in a place like this before. To say that my interest is peaked is an understatement." The canine raises an eyebrow, "Oh? That's a bit surprising to hear from a lass your age. But I can be surprised myself here and there at some young ones wanting to break free and explore in areas most don't show interest in."

His eyes then look on the clock on the desk. "Tell you what, class begins in half an hour. I can swing this around as a little bonus if you stay for a presentation." Liam looks up to the professor. "What do you mean by presentation Professor? As in a live demonstration?" He nods. "Why yes indeed. You can show how your magic works to give some of the students better understanding on the subject. And, it gives your guards here a free lecture pass."

Shade raises a hand to correct Gordan, "Eh... a bit of a misunderstanding there Professor Gordan. Liam didn't hire us to escort him here. He kinda just showed us where this place was and we just walked in with him after getting patted down by security." She then gets elbowed by her sister and she stares at her, "Come on Shade, when are we ever going to get a chance like this again? Plus, do you want to get frisked by the guard again?"

Shade sighs as Kitsuno would not let this go if she denied it. "Fair enough. Plus, I do need to be more fair on the stuff we do." She then looks at Gordan, "Alright Professor, we're in." Kitsuno squeals with glee and hugs her sister tightly, causing her to wheeze. "Buh.... easy there sis..."

Gordan laughs from the display, "Ha! Alrighty then. You two can go ahead and take a seat over there with Liam. Once class starts be sure to pay attention well." He then pauses a bit before pulling out a note and a pen as he looks at the elder twin as she is let go by her younger sister. "Shade was it?" She takes in a deep breath before standing straight up from the hug. "Yes?"

"Your sister said something about being frisked. Care to describe to me the guard in question?" Gordan had a sincere look on his face, but deep down, he had a slight festering annoyed feeling building up inside. Someone was going to get in trouble soon.

An hour had passed and not only did a number of students show up, Shade was getting a little bored. When the lecture began she was interested at first because she thought it would help her understand her own magic better, but as Gordan went on with the presentation Shade was not only losing interest, but trying not to fall asleep. It wasn't because the professor was boring her, unlike a few other students who had fallen asleep, she was just in a cozy environment right now. A nice cool dark room with a pleasing atmosphere. How could you not want to rest up with a good book in this room?

Yes, I know this isn't exactly a book she is reading and it is a lecture. Don't go and tell me you sit through lectures in rooms like this and manage to stay awake.

Kitsuno on the other hand, she was full on awake unlike Shade. Her own curiosity has gotten the better of her to where she had asked before the lecture had begun if she could borrow some papers and something to write with from Liam. The mage had agreed and gave her a small blank book and a pen to write in. She has been taking all sorts of notes since the lecture went into the subject.

Liam himself was paying attention to the lecture from Gordan. Sometimes he has to chime in on parts of the subject due to what he was taught at the mage's guild. This was to get the students that were paying attention a better example from someone who is qualified on the subject matter at hands.

Soon came the part where Liam had to give live demonstration of magic to the students as he got up from his seat to go stand near Gordan. The fuzzy ferret mage held out both of his hands to charge a ball of light in between his palms. Some of the students were in awe from this display. "The one thing though when it comes to focusing your spells, is that you have to keep concentration on it. If you lose concentration, the spell could either fizzle out, be prematurely let loose, or the worse outcome, turn into something else." He then lets go of the ball and it floats around in the air above his head.

One of the students in the back called out, "So if the spell malfunctions, is it randomized or does it simply explode?" Liam shakes his head, "Unfortunately I have yet to have this happen to that extreme. Most times for me it just fades out or is extremely weak." Another student asks a question from behind Kitsuno and Shade. "What about overcharging?" Shade's ears perked up at that while Liam looked at the student in confusion. "Pardon?"

The student continues, "Like, what if you focus too much and the spell becomes overwhelming. How damaging would that be to your mana source?" Liam raises a hand to his chin to think it over, "That is an excellent question. I would have to ask Master Wilhelm about that one as I never even thought about that." This is where Shade chimes in herself, "Overcharging is a thing, but isn't exactly a healthy thing to practice. It can damage your mana a bit with unsteady levels of concentration, rendering it harder for it to regenerate. Continously doing so with some more extreme spells, such as some forbidden ones, can lead to stronger chances of it backfiring, let alone being detrimental to your own health."

Liam and Kitsuno stared at Shade in slight shock. She looked confused as she looked at her own sister, "What?" Professor Gordan looked at his clock before announcing out to the class, "Very inciteful Shade, let's consider that a stopping point for now for a small break." A few students got up and stretched their legs a bit by walking to some of their fellow classmates to talk on some things. Liam walked to Kitsuno and Shade as Kitsuno got up and forced Shade up so they could walk out of the room.

When out of the room and away from most of the students, Liam gave Shade a puzzled look. "I had no idea you knew magic Shade." Kitsuno rubs a hand on his shoulder, "Yes, she does. However..." her gaze locks onto Shade, "What the hell was that back there? How exactly do you know what would happen?" Shade stared at her sister with utter confusion as she was not sure why she knew herself.

Kitsuno had a bunch of things running through her mind right now of what the answers could be. She knows her sister well enough that she doesn't go through spell tomes at all or has even studied magic properties like she has. "By chance, is there any way I can see you use magic Shade? I'm curious to see what you know." Both of the girls look at Liam, who was brimming with his own curiosity on Shade due to her own abilities.

Shade winces a bit as she looks around the halls. "If... you know a proper place to cast spells, I could. I'd rather not cause another incident that could get me fired from the mercenaries guild." Liam closes his eyes for a moment and then nods, "I know an open field like area we can head to. No worries of magical mishaps hitting something important out there." He then focuses on the elder kitsune for a moment. "I am assuming you have delved deep into the arts of destruction, correct?"

Kitsuno nods, "That's definitely one way of putting it." Shade immediately smacks her hand into Kitsuno's shoulder, "Hey!" The younger sister brushes it off with immediate comeback, "Don't deny it sis. You started more than enough fires lately. I'm surprised you never lost control and burnt down the manor." Shade facepalms at the mention of the manor they robbed a few years ago. Liam on the other hand, was getting even more confused. "You two lived in a manor?"

Shade sighs a bit before walking back towards the classroom, "It's a long story Liam. One of these days we'll setup some time to meet up and hang out to get to know each other more." The mage smiles as he and Kitsuno followed behind her. "That sounds like a wonderful idea Shade. I'll have to see after next week. I have an exam to prepare for unfortunately." Shade sighs at the thought of writing papers. While nice, it can be a bit of a hassle. Especially when her wrists starting hurting for going at it for hours. "Well, that sounds ideal. Kitsuno and I will keep you posted."

The rest of the lecture continued for the next hour. It was mainly just the basics with some beginner spells that Liam performed. Simple light spells, along with less detrimental destruction spells. Professor Gordan had to pull out a set of candles he had sitting in his desk for Liam to demonstrate fire magic. Shade watched and could only look down at her own hands from what she has done in the past with her magic. Liam was gentle with his spells, while her were much more vicious and flamboyant.

Kitsuno took note of this as well as she was watching her sister when Liam start demonstrating his magic. She made markings in her notes of the generic differences, but with her sister she added question marks due to what was different. One of them being her own weariness. Which made her think back at the heist. Shade never lost her illusion, except once. And that was after the large amount of sex she had with Beatrice.

Shade said Ashley knew she had magic somehow by tasting her cum, but that made very little sense. Or, at least it didn't make sense until Kitsuno started asking Onn questions about it. Even for a protogen, he said that it sounded unnatural for ones cum to glow. Sure there were some out there with modified cum, but not with what both of them described to him.

Kitsuno then thinks back a few weeks ago where Shade blew that wolf guy in the small little town. His cum was white in color and didn't pulsate with any kind of glowing nature. Was Shade actually leaking magic out in her cum? If so... how? And why?

As Kitsuno kept on pondering her thoughts on this, Shade on the other hand was deeply concerned on her own body. Was Liam telling the truth about magic? If so, why does none of what he is saying matching up to what she has done before? The only time she felt exhausted from using magic was back during the heist incident with Beatrice, the incident with the cultists, and two days ago. These were the only times she got exhausted.

When the lecture ended and Gordan dismissed the class, he thanks the group for staying for a live demonstration from Liam, and for the twins being there for both interests and chiming in. "I really do appreciate what you have contributed for the class. Perhaps one day you will--" Godran stops as he noticed Shade and Kitsuno both had something on their minds. "Are you two okay? You seem lost in thought."

Shade looks up at Professor Gordan before slowly getting up from her seat. "Sorry professor, was just thinking on things." She then looks at Kitsuno, who was closing her book after finishing a few more notes inside it. "But I can say I know someone was happy to attend this. Right Kit?" Kitsuno nods, "It was indeed a pleasure. Maybe one of these days I can see about enrolling here. I'd like to see what else this place has subject wise." The canine professor smiles at that thought, "I'd be happy to see that day lass. By chance, may I have your names for future reference to the headmaster. I'll be sure to swing a few things in favor of earning you both a spot for enrollment."

Shade raises a hand, "My name is Shade Nightwing." She places her hand down and Kitsuno raises hers, "And I'm Kitsuno Nightwing." Gordan nods as he begins to shelve some books back on the small bookshelf near his desk. "Some fine names you two have. I'll make sure to put in good word for you both." He then looks at his clock, "Ah how time flies by. You three should run along now. School is almost over and it will get very crowded on the way out." Liam gathered his bag and the paperwork he had delivered to Gordan. "It was a pleasure to have shown the students what a mage can do professor. I would be happy to give another seminar when I have time to do so."

The trio waves goodbye and begins to head off in the hallways. Gordan waits a few minutes before his smile softens up as he begins to think on their names. "Shade and Kitsuno Nightwing.... now where have I heard those names before?"

On their way out of the classroom and down the hall, Shade caught a glimpse of the guard from earlier. She leans in close to both Liam and Kitsuno, "Keep your guard up. Mr. Perv is nearby and I think he's following us." Liam nods in understatement and Kitsuno keeps her eyes steady on the pathway in front of them for any openings.

Once they approached the stairway and turned to go down the steps, Liam caught a glimpse of the guards face as he walked closer to them. A look of concern grew on his expression as he reaches into his bag to grab a pen and a piece of paper to scribble something quick on it to pull it out just enough to flash the message to Shade. The message read, "That's not him."

She looks around the stairway to see if she could find something reflecting the surrounding area so she could do a double take. As they reached the bottom of the stairway, Liam quickly directs the twins away towards the right. "I just remembered, I need to talk to one of the students. She said she had something for me once class is finished." The ferret led the way down the hall a bit before turning around to check up on Shade and Kitsuno, and potentially to see where this stalking guard was at.

Unfortunately, the guard was not present. At least, not visibly. Shade and Kitsuno stopped to look at Liam as he tried scanning their surroundings to see where the guard has vanished. "Where did he go? He was just behind us." Shade closed her eyes a bit before her ears twitch a bit. She then leans in closer to Liam to whisper in his ear. "Take my sister and keep her safe. I'll distract this guy and meet you both back at the entrance."

Before Liam could say anything, she immediately pulls away and walks to a different end of the hall. "I'm gonna find the bathroom. I'll catch up with you two after you find the girl from earlier." Kitusno looks at her sister with concern, "Shade, are you sure you don't want us to wait for you?" She winks before waving her hand at them. "Trust me, it's gonna be a while."

Kitsuno nods before looking at Liam and the two start heading off within the university. Shade waits a bit before heading a different direction. Kitsuno sighs as she keeps close to Liam as they make their way around the halls and kept a sharp eye out for anything else suspicious. "I hope she knows what she is doing."

As the duo crossed through an open corridor, a bell goes off and echoes throughout the building. In a few moments the students in their classrooms were dismissed and the halls soon started getting crowded with many bodies as the school day was over with and they were beginning to leave the building. Kitsuno and Liam soon got swept along the crowd and had to hold on to each other to not get seperated.

Liam was unsure what else was happening as they were moved along the flow to where they lost track of where they were in the university. While he was paying attention to weaving through the crowd if people, Kitsuno was keeping a much more thorough lookout for trouble. One thing that cropped up in her mind was how many guards were there that were looking for her and Shade?

As they were swept away towards the main entrance of the university, Shade on the other hand was forcing her way through the crowd elsewhere. Some of the students gave her some strange looks as to why a lone young kitsune was pushing her way through them. A few even trued to stop her, some doing so just to poke fun at the young girl, but she was in no mood and ignored them or shoved them aside. And for good reason.

The guard that was following the trio earlier had fallen for the bait and was closing in on Shade as he was hot on her trail. The further the chase prolonged, the less students were around, which meant to him it would be easier to capture the girl and bring her to the designated area. And the sooner he got this done, the better to enjoy the rewards.

It soon came to an end when not only did they reach a closed off end of the university, but the students and faculty of this section had already left the area. Which meant no one could hear the struggle when he made his move. He quickly darted towards Shade and grabbed ahold of her by the shoulders before flinging her against the wall. Before she could react, his hands pin her shoulders down and he kept her still. "Looks like the boss was right. A cute little kitsune roaming around by herself. Don't worry, we'll take good care of you."

Shade glares at him as she felt his hands grip onto her shoulders tightly. "So, you are in lead with Mr. Perv are you? It's a shame really, you look cute." The guard blinks a bit before dragging her off the wall and forces her arms behind her back. "Flattery won't work on me. You're not the first one to try that." The felines gaze lowers down on her body before flinching and jerking his right leg away as he saw Shade lift her right leg up to deliver a harsh kick towards his shin. "Fiesty one aren't you? I know a few who will help with that." And this was all that was left needed to spark the fuse inside Shade.

Meanwhile with Kitsuno and Liam, the duo had been flushed out of the university and were waiting around the entrance to see if they could spot Shade. Kitsuno was becoming more concerned as when less student started appearing, there was more emptiness into the halls. Liam looked back at the entrance as the guard was still stationed there and the two two things he mainly kept a strong guard over in that shack, to their knowledge that is, was both weapons the girls came over with.

Liam then takes notice as Kitsuno was tugging on his arm as she started walking back towards the hallway they got forced out of earlier, "Come on Liam, there's barely anyone here now and we need to get Shade and go. I don't like this feeling I am getting here." The ferret nods and follows along with the younger sibling. Unfortunately the duo was stopped immediately by one of the staff members who was making her way out. She looked at the two and ushered them out back towards the entrance. "Sorry, but this isn't a place for children to play in."

Liam then stammers as the grown lagamorph forces them both out of the building. "But miss, our friend is still somewhere in there. Can't we go and get her?" The rabbit woman shakes her head before turning heel. "One of the security members who are doing their rounds can escort her out. Now away with you as this place isn't going to clean itself." With that, she dissappeared back into the building.

Kitsuno shakes her head before turning her gaze towards the perverted guard thay was waiting on them both. "Jeez... what kind of respect is that?" Liam sighs before taking ahold of Kitsuno's left hand, "Well. This is a pristine building given where the university is located, unsurprising that the staff takes it seriously in taking care of it." He then looks towards the guard, "What do we do about Shade?"

Kitsuno narrows her eyes as the guard smiles deviously at them, his hand gesturing that they get near. "My sister is one thing, but what do we do about him? He's got both my bow and Shade's spear. I'm not that well equipped using stuff in close combat..." Patience was running low and there was no other alternative. The duo slowly moved their way over to the guard and as expected, he stops them and points over to Liam. "You, you're free to go ahead." The feline sways his tail around as he looks at Kitsuno, pure sinister greed hidden among his smile that the two could see. "You on the other hand, I need you to stay for another search. And your sister needs to be checked as well, just to make sure you aren't making off with university property and all."

"Now how is that fair? I could be walking in and out with weapons, hazardous material, and I could be stealing stuff. Why am I not getting checked?" Liam retorts back as he stands in the way from Kitsuno and the guard. "What would the headmaster think of your actions? Especially to a young girl?"

The guard's smile fades before standing up to glare at the ferret mage. "Listen boy, I'm just doing my job. Besides, what will the headmaster care over a few personal checkups? He's not around and he's got quite a lot on his plate regardless, he won't bat an eye." He then moves forward and places a hand on Liam before forcing him away from Kitsuno to grab her quickly. The young kitsune yelps as she is tossed into the shack, "Now be a good magical schoolboy and head back to the guild."

Liam stumbles on his own feet from being tossed away and he staggers back towards the guard before getting into a stare off with him. "And what would others think should we tell you what you are doing?" The guard laughs before grabbing both the spear and bow before throwing it towards the mage. Liam gets smacked with the bow after fumbling with the spear and falls over on the ground. "Who's gonna believe any of you? Now buzz off kid. I've got work to do."

Kitsuno, who had managed to get back on her feet, waits for the guard to turn around to clock him in the face with a ledger. While this caught him off guard, it did not knock him down and he immediately counters by grabbing her and pinning her against the desk. Using a free hand to slam the door shut, he glares at the girl from her attempt of escape. "Nice try girl, but its gonna take a lot more than that to get me down." Kitsuno struggles as he held her down and manages to free one of her hands from his grip and quickly reached underneath her armor to pull out the dagger and quickly stabbed the guard in his hand. He let's go of her to reel back in pain. "Argh! Son of a bitch! Where did you get that!?"

"Who cares you freak! Get away from me!" Kitsuno reels back her leg as much as she could before delivering a harsh kick to his shins and he drops to the ground as she fumbles with the door to rush out. Liam catches her as she escapes and she immediately grabbed onto her bow and stood back a bit as the guard managed to get back up and was really mad. "Playing the hard way are we? Fine..." the now angry feline guard reached underneath his desk and pulled out a long baton before activating a crystal on the handle and it started glowing blue with energy. "Once I deal with you two and the other girl, you'll make fine additions to the collection."

Kitsuno's eyes shot open at the thought of this collection, this guy was either a slaver or that much of a freak. She goes to reach for an arrow, but soon realized that her quiver was not on her and was still in the booth. Instead, she brings up the dagger as a last resort of defense before Liam continued to stand by her side as he drew her back as they were getting cornered.

"HEY! MR. PERV!"

The guard looks over to the entrance of the university and saw something that shocked him. Two of his associates from inside were being held by a dishelved Shade as her armor was torn along with her shirt as her bare breasts were put in the open. Both of the other feline guards in her grip were heavily bruised and blood dripping from their mouths from their apparent beatings, the source going towards Shade's knuckles as her fur was stained with blood slightly.

The elder kitsune tosses both men on the ground and they both groaned in unison. Followed behind Shade from the university entrance was Professor Gordan as he held onto another one of the corrupt guards. This one still intact and had more fear in his face from seeing his associates beaten down from a young girl. Professor Gordan glares at the main guard, "Ashton, you have until the count of three to drop your weapon and get down on the ground. Otherwise Miss Nightwing here is going to make you match the pain of your crimes."

Shade raised her hands and cracked her knuckles before spitting on the ground. "Your buddy here told us what you've been doing. Touch my sister again and I'll be raping you. And you WILL NOT LIKE IT!!!"

Ashton glares at Gordan before his eyes lowered down to his cohort, before muttering under his breath, "Traitorous caniving pussy..." he then turns heel and immediately starts running out from the gate. Shade immediately starts running and veers close towards Kitsuno and Liam to grab her spear and made her way out of the gates.

Unfortunately to her the chase was over as Ashton had disappeared. She looked around the small crowds of people that passed on by and slammed a fist into the gate. "Damn bastard.... I swear when I find his sorry ass he is going to regret living." She then takes a deep breath before walking back to her sister and threw herself into a hug with her. "Are you okay sis?" Kitsuno nods before pulling back. "I'm fine, I managed to stab him to escape before he tried anything else." She then looks down at her half naked sister, "Shade... what happened back there?"

She scoffs a bit before looking over at the other guards on the ground. Neither dared to get up after the wrath they had taken from her. "Well that one guy followed me and attempted to hold me down. I may have gotten a bit mad and went ballistic on him. Unfortunately that was when his two other buddies showed up and managed to pin me down. They would have gotten away with it if not for Gordan showing up and helping me out by restraining the other one there." Shade point over to the only guard who was uninjured, "Came at me with a knife and shredded up my armor and attempted to knock me out with the blunt end of the blade. In short all he did was piss me off more."

Liam looked at the dagger Kitsuno was holding before reaching for his bag to open it and dug around inside, "Kitsuno... when did you take my dagger? I had my bag closed the entire time." She turns her head to him before handing him his dagger back. "Sorry Liam, I stole it when we were getting swept away with the crowd. I just had this bad feeling going on." Liam shakes his head before giving the blade back to her. "No no, I'm glad you did cause it helped you. Go ahead and keep it." Kitsuno looks at the sleek blade before reaching into her armor to pull the sheath out and resheathed the blade to forcibly put it back in Liam's bag. "No, you need it. Shade and I can get weapons so we will be fine."

"Though, after this... we may need to invest in some hidden weapons. Just to ne on the safe side." Shade then throws her right arm over the mage's shoulders and pulled him in for a hug. "Thanks for keeping a good eye on my sis Liam. I really appreciate that." Gordan, who still had ahold of the guard, walked over to the trio. "I'm sorry Ashton got away, but I'm sure he won't be here the next time you three visit. Though, mind lending a hand? Gonna need to get these lads tied up so they don't go nowhere."

The three agreed before heading over to the two guards on the ground and Shade loomed over them. One of them looked up to see her angrily glare at them, "P-please... no more." Shade barks back at him, "What's the matter tough guy? Thought you said you like it when they fight back?" Liam looks at Shade before she waves a hand to them to keep going as she kept an eye on them both. The mage nods before continuing on. Gordan nods over to one of the custodial closets. "There should be some rope that the staff keeps on hand for heavy lifting. Grab some and we can get these three wrapped up for the authorities to question them."

Both of them nod before heading into the closet and digging through some of the various cleaning supplies to gather the rope and headed back out to start tying up the guards. As they were getting tied up, Shade and Kitsuno's ears perked up as Zhutto called out to them. "Shade and Kitsuno Nightwing. Can either of you explain what is going on?" The duo turn around as they saw their boss standing at the gates and standing next to him was the grand mage Wilhelm. "Liam, you were taking a while to return. Though, given what I am witnessing, I can only assume that there is a reasonable explanation here."
